Canby Winter Fair Brings Holiday Lights and Local Shopping |
The all-ages celebration returns to the Clackamas County Event Center for four festive weekends |

Clackamas County Winter Fair and Holiday Market is preparing to turn the Canby event grounds into a festive destination from late November through December.
The all-ages event is scheduled across four weekends, beginning Friday, November 27, and continuing through Saturday, December 19.
For local families, that spread of dates creates more flexibility than a one-night celebration and leaves room to fit the fair around school concerts, shopping and other holiday obligations.
Four weekends to choose from
The published performance calendar lists November 27 and 28, followed by December 4 and 5, December 11 and 12, and December 18 and 19.
Most listed sessions begin at 5 p.m., though visitors should confirm the opening-night time before purchasing tickets because event schedules can change with demand.
The fair takes place at the Clackamas County Event Center, 694 NE 4th Avenue in Canby.
An evening visit makes the most of the lights and gives the outing the full winter-fair atmosphere.
Holiday market finds
The market’s 2026 vendor roster includes handmade décor, candles, jewelry, books, treats, face painting, coffee, specialty foods and locally themed gifts.
Shoppers can browse small vendors while keeping the outing social, which is a welcome alternative to racing through a large store with a checklist.
Because vendors may change by date and popular items can sell out, visitors looking for a particular maker should review the current vendor information before choosing a night.
The strongest reason to shop here is not only convenience; it is the chance to put holiday spending directly into small creative businesses.
Build a simple family plan
Families can make the fair easier by choosing a meeting point as soon as they arrive and dressing for the weather, even when much of the activity is sheltered.
A stroller or wagon may help younger children, but busy market areas reward patience and a little extra time.
Parents may also want to set a small shopping budget for children, turning the market into a chance to choose a gift for someone else.
Bringing a reusable tote keeps purchases together and avoids juggling several small bags during the rest of the visit.
Tickets and timing
Current ticket information lists general admission at $10 for guests age 13 and older, $5 for children age 12 and younger, and free entry for children age 3 and younger.
Ticket listings and event details should be checked before departure because prices, hours and individual attractions may be updated as opening weekend approaches.
The event center can also be reached at 503-266-1136 for practical questions.
Visitors who dislike the busiest crowds may prefer an earlier weekend or the beginning of an evening session, while last-minute shoppers may appreciate the final December dates.
A local start to the season
The Winter Fair gives Canby residents a nearby holiday outing without requiring a drive into Portland or a complicated daylong plan.
It can be a shopping trip, a family tradition or simply an excuse to walk among lights and seasonal displays for an evening.
With four weekends on the calendar, the hardest part may be deciding which night to go.
Parking and entry lines can build around popular arrival times, so leaving a little margin will make the evening feel less hurried.
Before going, confirm parking instructions, ticket delivery details and any rules about outside food, pets or bags, since those practical policies can change from one event season to the next. |
