Five Harvest Festivals Worth the Drive
Cool mornings, muddy boots and the smell of cider mean harvest season has arrived, and farms near Canby are ready with pumpkins, mazes, animals and room to play.
These five harvest festivals range from a free community gathering to full-day farm adventures, offering easy ways to make an October tradition.
1. Fir Point Farms Harvest Festival — Aurora
Fir Point Farms is close to Canby, with its 2026 festival running September 26 through October 31, Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Arndt Road farm packs in a corn maze, cow train, giant slides, hay rides, pumpkin activities, petting zoo and nature trail.
Cider, donuts, a food court and a beer garden make this an easy place to linger.
Best for: Families who want lots of activities without a long drive.
2. Frog Pond Farm Pumpkin Season — Wilsonville
Frog Pond Farm opens its 2026 pumpkin season September 18 through November 1 at 2983 SW Advance Road.
General admission is $16 for ages two and older on weekdays and weekends, while a $25 weekend all-in ticket adds the expanded lineup.
The draw includes more than 80 animals, a giant bounce park, a corn maze and 20 acres to explore, with llamas roaming the pumpkin patch on weekends.
Reservations are not required for general admission, but gravel, wood chips and an incline may challenge visitors with mobility concerns.
Best for: Animal lovers and energetic kids who want their pumpkin patches with a little bounce.
3. Lee Farms Fall Festival — Tualatin
Lee Farms celebrates fall September 19 through October 31, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The family farm combines pumpkins, harvest décor, seasonal treats and activity areas that can turn a pumpkin run into a longer outing.
Attractions are weather dependent and the grounds are uneven working-farm terrain, so check conditions and choose sturdy shoes.
Tickets are sold online and at the farm, and outside animals are not permitted except visibly marked service animals.
Best for: Visitors seeking a classic farm-festival feel and an easy stop on the Canby-to-Tualatin corridor.
4. Wilsonville Fall Harvest Festival — Memorial Park
Wilsonville’s free Fall Harvest Festival is Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stein-Boozier Barn.
The morning includes live music, free pumpkins grown at Frog Pond Farms, horse-and-carriage rides, craft vendors and face painting.
Parking near the barn is extremely limited, so use passenger drop-off at Murase Plaza, then park at the library, community center, lower Memorial Park or City Hall.
Best for: Families looking for a short, free celebration with a community-event atmosphere.
5. Bauman’s Harvest Festival — Gervais
Bauman’s rewards the extra drive with more than 30 activities, including mazes, obstacle courses, rides, slides and farm animals.
The 2026 festival runs September 19 through October 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, with ticket sales closing at 4 p.m.
Weekend admission is $30 for ages three to 25 and $20 for ages 26 to 99, while weekday admission is $20 and $15 respectively with fewer activities.
Special events include live music, a giant pumpkin weigh-off and drop on October 3, and a 21-and-older cider festival October 24 and 25.
Best for: Groups ready to devote most of a day to Canby fall activities and a full-scale destination festival.
Plan Before You Go
Farm schedules, attraction availability and ticket rules can change with weather, so confirm details before heading out.
Bring layers, closed-toe shoes and a backup pair for children, and remember that pumpkins, food and some premium activities may cost extra.
For lighter crowds, try a weekday or arrive near opening, then leave room in the car for the pumpkins everyone swore they were not going to buy. |
